■Congress President’s Greeting

It is my distinct honor and privilege to host the 68th Annual Meeting of Japan Society of Gynecologic Oncology. On behalf of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sapporo Medical University, I would like to extend my sincere greetings to all participants. We are fully committed to preparing this meeting with the greatest care and professionalism.
This year’s meeting places particular emphasis on the following priorities:
1. Advancement of International Engagement
Global academic collaboration is indispensable for the continued progress of gynecologic oncology. In close partnership with the Program Committee, we endeavor to curate symposia, workshops, and educational sessions designed to be both intellectually stimulating and highly relevant for our international attendees.
2. Strengthening of Basic Research
We aim to enrich the program with content that highlights the significance and appeal of basic research, especially for young clinicians pursuing careers in gynecologic oncology. By promoting translational research and fostering innovation in emerging therapeutic strategies, we seek to reinforce the vital integration of basic science and clinical practice.
3. Reinforcement of Professional Connections
Recognizing the importance of personal and professional relationships within our field, we have planned hands-on seminars and networking opportunities that facilitate meaningful interaction. In the post-pandemic era, rebuilding and deepening these connections is more essential than ever.
Conference Theme
Shape Tomorrow: Evolving Treatment Paradigm and the Most Effective Strategy
This theme reflects our shared commitment to exploring optimal treatment approaches that will shape the future of gynecologic oncology amid rapid medical advancement.
Sapporo in July offers a refreshing climate, even as much of Japan experiences peak summer heat. It is our sincere pleasure to welcome you to this beautiful city, and we look forward to your active participation in making this meeting a truly enriching academic and professional experience.
